One of the most moving moments of the International Forum, held in Hammamet at the end of September in the presence of representatives from many countries and members of the International Board of SOS Children’s Villages International, was the testimony of Kamal, who grew up in SOS Children’s Village Gammarth.

Sharing his personal journey, he described SOS not only as a place of care but also as a true school of life, where he learned solidarity, responsibility, confidence and hope. Now active in civil society and volunteer initiatives, particularly supporting people with visual impairments, Kamal’s story illustrates the long-term impact of SOS Children’s Villages in helping young people become engaged and responsible citizens.
