SOS Children’s Village Siliana supported the Paediatric Department of Siliana Regional Hospital through a project aimed at improving conditions for hospitalised children and their caregivers.
Implemented in partnership with the Regional Health Directorate, the project provided 22 hospital beds, bedside furniture, storage units, chairs and convertible sofas for family members accompanying the children. Behind these figures and practical improvements are the stories of children and their mothers: a mother sitting beside her child, watching them sleep and hoping they will recover; another mother spending hours, perhaps days, by the bed, offering reassurance with a look, holding a hand or simply staying close when her child wakes. Better hospital conditions help preserve the dignity and comfort of children and their families during a difficult time.
